Logistics Specialist
Job Description
The CS&L function ensures the integration of all key business processes from supplier to customers, providing products, services and information that add value for customers and stakeholders.
In your role as Logistic Specialist, you will ensure the operational execution of local logistics services (transport and warehouses) and be responsible to guarantee on time deliveries at the best cost. This wide definition includes several key activities:
- Active Inventory management to maximize stock reliability and accuracy with minimized cost. Execute daily reconciliation analysis of root cause impact analysis of the inventory projection.
- Ensure the accuracy of Warehousing & Distribution data: volumes, costs, accrual vs invoice, KPI management.
- Mid- and Long-term vision on creating AOP and VCP plans
- Tenders with different LSPs or periodical benchmark
- LSP: Day to day communication on service follow, stock differences, ...
- LSP: Monthly meeting to review KPI’s and service level. This to define and follow-up actions to improve.
- Transport management of in- and outbound distribution with LSP’s : monitoring and improving performance and costs and checking quality and coordinating issues with manufacturers.
- Cost control of warehousing and distribution activities, including in depth analysis of cost development (logistic variances).
- Invoice management: PO’s generation, check invoice and management of payment issues.
- Pallet Management with Chep and LSP.
Qualifications
For this role as Logistic Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following experience and skills:
Knowledge and experience in Logistics
Data analysis and reporting skills
Understanding of EDI systems
High level customer focus and excellent customer service skills
Experienced with SAP, EDI and BW reporting (ideally what the candidate should already know before joining)
Good communication skills
Highly analytical and accurate
Results driven, eager to take ownership and initiative
Capable of influencing others
Fluent in Italian and English (must have)
